Royal Hotel Sheerness

The location was excellent for exploring the beach.

The check-in process took forever since the reception staff was missing, forcing us to wait anxiously at the door without a clear sign of when someone would arrive. The noise levels were unbearable, as we could hear the loud music and shouting from the pub below, especially with a young child. To top it all off, my room had plumbing issues and dirty fixtures, which left me feeling uncomfortable and frustrated throughout my visit.

We got a room with a bathtub.

Consider checking for room upgrades, especially if mobility is a concern, as some rooms aren't ideally accessible.

Relaxing overall experience. Quiet and peaceful hotel in a marvellous position close to the beach. Amiable staff and management. Bright queen room with a kettle, water in the kettle, as for instance.

The location is super central, easy to explore! Plus, the lovely atmosphere was perfect for our family's fun.

The en suite bathroom featured a spacious walk-in shower, refreshing after a long day. Several issues marred the stay. There was significant noise from the pub below, particularly on weekends. Maintenance left much to be desired. The carpets looked worn, and basic furniture repairs were overdue. The parking situation was inconvenient, requiring a trek to find appropriate spots. The breakfast setup lacked variety, and the presence of old and dated furnishings. Some staff interactions felt rushed and unhelpful, which detracted from the experience.

Had a wonderful stay, especially loved the hearty breakfasts and personalized dinner options. The clean, well-maintained room was a real bonus! Just wish there were more amenities available.

This was just a reliable pick for a short visit in Sheerness with fantastic value for money. The room had a charming view of the cityscape, despite some areas needing attention. Bring earplugs if you're sensitive to noise at night.

Lively pub atmosphere

The staff were helpful (even carried heavy bags for us). The location was perfect for seaside walks and close to the high street. The bed was very comfy for a good night's sleep.
